Questions tagged [drip-system]

Slow continuous irrigation, also known as drip irrigation or trickle irrigation.

A is an irrigation system which drips water where it is required (i.e. at each plant's roots), and typically runs continuously. This system is also known as trickle irrigation, micro-irrigation, drip irrigation, or localized irrigation.

The advantages of drip irrigation is that it saves a lot of water because the water is only applied where it is needed. Also, evaporation is reduced because there is less pooling of surface water, and water is not sprayed up high.

Drip irrigation systems can also be used to apply fertilizer with the irrigation water.

Completely sealing drip system hole plugs

I used several of these hole plugs: However, they are not sealing very well toward the end of the line (presumeably because the pressure builds up there). Should I use the larger end of the plug? Or is there another method of making a perfect seal?
