A boysenberry (Rubus ursinus x idaeus) is a cross between a European Raspberry (Rubus idaeus), Common Blackberry (Rubus fructicosus), and a Loganberry (Rubus x loganobaccus). It is a large compound fruit resembling these three . It has large and a deep maroon color. In common with the parent fruits, boysenberries are grown for their fruit which are popular in jams and pies.
