when i fry beef, its usually easiest to clean while hot. I don't care about warping or damaging my old pan. i do not want to let it cool off, because then it is exponentially harder to clean.

But, I also read you are not supposed to dump oil down the drain, which is essentially what happens when beef fat and oil is washed off a pan.

Whats the solution here? Do i clean the while hot? will that clog my drain? Or do I wait for it to cool off, then try to remove the grease with paper towel. then try to wash whats left?
