Zayed University

Zayed University (ZU; Arabic: جامعة زايد) is a public university based in the United Arab Emirates. Established in 1998, it is one of the three government-sponsored higher education institutions in the UAE. It is named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

After achieving accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education in the US, it became the first federal university in the UAE to be internationally accredited. ZU offers 17 majors and 10 minors at the undergraduate level and 10 master's degrees. The university has eight colleges: the College of Arts and Creative Enterprises, the College of Business, the College of Communication and Media Sciences, the College of Education, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the College of Natural and Health Sciences, the College of Technological Innovation, and the College of Interdisciplinary Studies.
