By day, WRYM is powered at 1,000 watts non-directional. But because 840 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A WHAS Louisville, Kentucky, WRYM must reduce power at night to 250 watts and use a directional antenna to avoid interference. Programming is also heard on 99-watt FM translator W297BT at 107.3 MHz in New Britain.
