Steinitz's theorem (field theory)

In field theory, Steinitz's theorem states that a finite extension of fields ${\displaystyle L/K}$ is simple if and only if there are only finitely many intermediate fields between ${\displaystyle K}$ and ${\displaystyle L}$.
