Spat (distance unit)

The spat (symbol S) is an obsolete unit of distance used in astronomy. It is equal to 1,000,000,000 kilometres (620,000,000 mi; 6.7 au). A light-year is about 9460 S.

Not to be confused with Spat (angular unit).
