Sikkim expedition
The Sikkim expedition (Chinese: 隆吐山戰役; pinyin: Lóngtǔ Shān Zhànyì; lit. 'Battle of the Longtu Mountain') was an 1888 British military expedition to expel Tibetan forces from the Kingdom of Sikkim. The roots of the conflict lay in British–Tibetan competition for suzerainty over Sikkim.
