Shpola
Shpola (Ukrainian: Шпола, pronounced [ˈʃpɔlɐ]) is a city located in Zvenyhorodka Raion of Cherkasy Oblast (province) in central Ukraine. In May 2011, a 14-meter monument was installed on the outskirts of the city, claiming that Shpola is the geographical center of Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Shpola urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. It had a population of 16,323 (2022 estimate).
