Shashthi (day)

Shashthi (Sanskrit: षष्ठी, romanized: Ṣaṣṭhī) also referred to as Chhath is the sixth day of the lunar fortnight in the Hindu calendar. It is tithi (lunar day) of a paksha, the fourteen-day phase of the moon.
