Sereď (Slovak pronunciation: [ˈserec]; Hungarian: Szered [ˈsɛrɛd]) is a town in southern Slovakia near Trnava, on the right bank of the Váh River on the Danubian Lowland. It has approximately 15,500 inhabitants.
