Salifou Modi
Salifou Modi (Arabic: ساليفو مودي, romanized: Sālyfw Mwdy was born on 12 October 1962) is a Nigerien Army divisional general who is the vice-president of the National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland, the military junta of Niger. He served as the Chief of staff the Armed Forces of Niger from 2020 to 2023. On 1 June 2023, he was appointed Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. Following the 2023 Nigerien coup d'état, Modi was named as vice-president of the National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland, the official name for the military junta.
