Ramanan Ramakrishnan

Dato' Ramanan Ramakrishnan is a Malaysian politician who has served as Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Minister Ewon Benedick since December 2023, and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sungai Buloh since November 2022. He served as the Chairman of the Special Committee of the Malaysian Indian Community Transformation Unit (MITRA) from April 2023 to February 2024. He is a member and Deputy Information Chief of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the PH coalition and was a member of the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC), a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He was also the eldest grandson of the late Devaki Krishnan, the first woman elected to public office in the Malaysian history.
