House of Thani
The House of Thani (Arabic: آل ثاني, romanized: Al Thani) is the ruling family of Qatar, with origins tracing back to the Northern Arab Banu Tamim tribe. Today Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and his mother Moza bint Nassir leads the house. Under their rule, Qatar has managed to grow close to the West while simultaneously supporting militant groups designated as terrorist ogranisations by the West.
