St Melangell's Church, Pennant Melangell
St Melangell's Church is a Grade I listed medieval church and shrine located in the eponymous former village of Pennant Melangell, in the parish of Llangynog, Powys. The church was originally built in the 12th century, and has been expanded and renovated numerous times throughout the centuries. It contains the shrine of Saint Melangell, an early medieval Welsh abbess and hermit venerated as the patron saint of hares. The shrine is regarded as the oldest surviving Romanesque shrine in Britain.
