Pazarcık
Pazarcık (Kurdish: Bazarcix) is a municipality and district of Kahramanmaraş Province, Turkey. Its area is 1,253 km2, and its population is 70,173 (2022). It is in the southeastern part of the province. The mayor İbrahim Yılmazcan from the Justice and Development Party (AKP) was elected in the local elections 2019. Kaymakam of the district is Muhammed Kaya, appointed in 2023. The cement plant is a major source of greenhouse gas. The town includes Abdals of the Kara Hüseyinler tribe. The town has a majority population of Alevi Kurds.
