National Council of Educational Research and Training
National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) (Hindi: राष्ट्रीय शैक्षिक अनुसंधान और प्रशिक्षण परिषद) is an autonomous organisation of the Government of India. Established in 1961, it is a literary, scientific and charitable Society under the Societies Registration Act. Its headquarters are located at Sri Aurbindo Marg in Delhi. Dr. Dinesh Prasad Saklani is Director of the council since 2022.

In 2023, NCERT constituted a 19-member committee including author and Infosys Foundation chair Sudha Murthy, singer Shankar Mahadevan, to finalise the curriculum, textbooks and learning material for classes 3 to 12.
