Mustappa bin Sirat

Mustappa bin Sirat (born 4 October 1957) is a diplomat and politician in the Government of Brunei. He took office as the Minister of Communications from 2015 to 2018 and also as the Deputy Minister of Defence.

In this Malay name, there is no surname or family name. The name Sirat is patronymic, and the person should be referred to by their given name: Mustappa. The Arabic-derived word 'bin' or 'binti' / 'binte', if used, means 'son of' or 'daughter of', respectively.
