Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman

Pengiran Mohammad (born 1948), pen name Zairis M.S., is a Bruneian politician and writer in the Government of Brunei whole formerly took office as the second Minister of Religious Affairs from 2010 to 2015, and Deputy Minister of Education from 2005 to 2010.

Not to be confused with Mohammad Abdul Rahman Piut.
In this Malay name, there is no surname or family name. The name Pengiran Abdul Rahman is patronymic, and the person should be referred to by their given name: Pengiran Mohammad. The Arabic-derived word 'bin' or 'binti' / 'binte', if used, means 'son of' or 'daughter of', respectively.
