Meteg
Meteg (or meseg or metheg, Hebrew: מֶתֶג, lit. 'bridle', also gaʿya געיה, lit. 'bellowing', מאריך maʾarikh, or מעמיד maʿamid) is a punctuation mark used in Biblical Hebrew for stress marking. It is a vertical bar placed under the affected syllable.
