Melissenos family

The Melissenos family (Greek: Μελισσηνός), latinized Melissenus, feminine form Melissene (Μελισσηνή), latinized Melissena, was the name of a Byzantine noble family that flourished from the late 8th century on until the end of the Byzantine Empire and beyond.
