Mayor of Belgrade

The Mayor of Belgrade (Serbian: Градоначелник Београда, romanized: Gradonačelnik Beograda) is the head of the City of Belgrade (the capital and largest city of Serbia). The Mayor acts on behalf of the city, and performs an executive function in the City of Belgrade. The position is important as the city is the most important hub of economy, culture, science and technology in Serbia.

The office of mayor of Belgrade has been vacant since the formation of the Temporary Council of Belgrade (Serbian: Привремено веће Београда, romanized: Privremeno veće Beograda) on 30 October 2023. Its members include Aleksandar Šapić (SNS), mayor of Belgrade from 2022 to 2023, Aleksandar Mirković (SNS), Nikola Nikodijević (SPS), Vladimir Obradović (Independent), and Dobrica Veselinović (ZLF). The next mayor will be elected after the 2023 Belgrade City Assembly election.
