McMahon clans

McMahon, also spelt MacMahon (older Irish orthography: Mac Mathghamhna; reformed Irish orthography: Mac Mathúna), were different Middle Age era Irish clans. Their name is derived from the Gaelic Mac Mathghamhna meaning 'son of the bear'.
