Ling Shao

Ling Shao is a computer scientist and a researcher in artificial intelligence. He was the founding CEO and Chief Scientist of the Inception Institute of Artificial Intelligence (IIAI), Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. He was also the initiator of the world's first AI university  Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, for which he served as its founding Provost and Executive Vice President from 2019 to 2021. Due to his scientific contributions to the UAE, he was honored with the Mohammed bin Rashid Medal for Scientific Distinguishment (the highest scientific recognition in the UAE) by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime-Minister and Vice-President of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai.
