According to the kojiki she is the spouse of Yashimajinumi and daughter of Ōyamatsumi:277–278 and thus and the mother of Fuha-no-Mojikunusunu:277–278 She is an ancestess of Ōkuninushi.:277–278

Her sister is Konohanasakuya-hime the volcano goddess worshipped at Sengen shrines and wife of Ninigi

While the Kojiki covers this narrative of the ancestry of Okuninushi.:29–30 The Nihon Shoki on the other hand omits the entire narrative of the ancestry of Okuninushi from Susanoo and has him as a direct son, skipping the section where Konohanachiru-hime is mentioned,:29–30 however it references the kojiki alternative narrative.
