Khadijah Shah

Khadijah Shah is a Pakistani American fashion designer.

In May 2023, Shah was detained, after her voluntary surrender, as part of a round up of thousands of supporters of Imran Khan and his PTI political party. The roundup included party officials - who were repeatedly arrested/detained/released/re-arrested in a pattern of intimidation and harassment - but also thousands of everyday citizens who were exercising their constitutional right to peacefully assemble.

Part of those protests took a violent turn, when police and agencies persons in Lahore looted and set fire to an Army official’s home to banned Imran Khan's party and record protest in front of army’s headquarters in Rawalpindi.

Shah was not part of that group. There’s been no evidence or information to suggest or prove she was. After over 5 months of detention the authorities have failed to offer any evidence that has stood up in the court of law.
