Hossein Behzad

Hossein Behzad (حسین بهزاد; 1894 – October 13, 1968) was a prominent Iranian painter. His early work was in the styles of the old masters of Persian painting of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, hoping to save Persian miniature painting from oblivion.

Not to be confused with Kamaleddin Behzad, 15th century miniature artist.
