The films initially focuses on an office worker, who regularly fantasizes about murdering his co-workers. One day, his fantasy is about to become real, but another spree killer gets to the office first. The office worker kills his rival, and rescues a wounded woman. Since nobody knows his actual motives, he is hailed as a hero and is promoted to a higher management position. He falls in love with the woman he rescued, but she is suicidal and asks him for assisted suicide. The man keeps struggling with his insecurities, until he suffers a mental breakdown. At that point, he awakens from an elaborate hallucination and commits suicide, while making sure that his love interest witnesses his final moments.
