TVJ ended its partnership with TAPE Inc. due to an internal dispute and moved to TV5 with their interim show E.A.T., amidst a pending case with TAPE to reclaim the Eat Bulaga! trademark. On January 5, 2024, the Marikina RTC Branch 273 issued a permanent injunction to prevent TAPE from using Eat Bulaga! in their GMA-7 noontime show, and prior to the court's decision, the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines ruled TVJ as the rightful owner of Eat Bulaga! and EB trademarks.
