Cynopolis
Cynopolis (Greek: Κυνόπολις and Κυνῶν πόλις for "city of the dog") was the Hellenistic toponym for two cities in ancient Egypt. Both Cynopolis superior and Cynopolis inferior were bishoprics in Christian times.
