Clapham alkali attack
On the evening of 31 January 2024, 35-year-old Abdul Shokoor Ezedi attacked a 31-year-old woman and her two children with a corrosive alkaline substance on a street in Clapham, London. Ezedi fled the area, and was last seen at 23:27 GMT on CCTV on Chelsea Bridge.

Nine others were injured in the attack, including members of the public and police who assisted those initially assaulted. On 9 February, police said that the absence of sightings of Edezi since Chelsea Bridge led them to a hypothesis that he entered the Thames and died, although no body has been found.
