Armistice Day centenary

The Armistice Day centenary was the international series of events in 2018 marking the centenary of the Armistice of 11 November 1918, which ended hostilities in World War I. It took place at the conclusion of the wider First World War centenary, which involved a wider series of commemorations beginning in 2014. Special events marking the Armistice centenary itself, which occurred on 11 November 2018, were also planned in the months leading up to the date itself, both as part of wider commissions dedicated to the First World War centenary and in conjunction with the annual series of Armistice Day, Remembrance Day and Veterans Day events.

Similar commemorations were held in other countries across the world.
