Andy Dick

Andrew Roane Dick (born Andrew Thomlinson; December 21, 1965) is an American actor and comedian. As a stand-up comedian Dick has had a long career, making appearances all across America, as well as released several comedy albums, and as an actor has appeared in numerous television and film roles. Dick's first regular television role was on the short lived The Ben Stiller Show on Fox. In the mid-1990s, he was a regular actor on NBC's NewsRadio and was a supporting character on Less than Perfect. He also had two short lived television series on MTV. The first in 2001 was a sketch comedy series called The Andy Dick Show, and in 2004, the reality television series The Assistant. He also is noted for his behavior on a number of Comedy Central Roasts, stand up comedy performances, and late night talk show appearances.

He is also known for his eccentric behavior, struggles with drug addiction, and numerous sexual misconduct allegations and arrests. Dick has said that he has long struggled with drug and alcohol use disorders for years and by 2016 said that he had entered into rehab programs 20 times in an effort to become sober. In 2022, after a conviction for a 2018 offense, he was required to register as a sex offender.
