Adam Peters

Frederick Adam Peters (born May 24, 1979) is an American football executive who is the general manager (GM) of the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). His NFL career began in 2003 as a scout with the New England Patriots and later the Denver Broncos, rising to a senior position within the latter's scouting department. Peters joined the San Francisco 49ers in 2017, working first as vice president of player personnel and later as assistant GM prior to being named Commanders GM in 2024. Regarded as one of the top player evaluators in the NFL, he has been a contributor towards teams that won seven conference championships and three Super Bowls. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Peters played football at West Valley College in the late 1990s before earning a psychology degree at UCLA.
