Abdu'r Rahmani

Abdu'r Rahmani bin Basir (born 28 July 1954) is a Bruneian nobleman, diplomat and retired military officer who served as the commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) from 2003 until 2005.

In this Malay name, there is no surname or family name. The name Basir is patronymic, and the person should be referred to by their given name: Abdu'r Rahmani. The Arabic-derived word 'bin' or 'binti' / 'binte', if used, means 'son of' or 'daughter of', respectively.
