My name is Mel, I’m a Software Engineer from Sydney, Australia.

I’ve been working in the Tech for almost 20 years, for most of my career I’ve been doing Front-end development but I’ve also done Back-end development, Sysadmin and end-user support.

I would call myself a Full-stack developer with a preference for Front-end and in interest in DevOps. I’ve done done various roles from development, systems administration, technical support and management.

I ran a Managed Services company with my husband for around 10 years which has given me a lot of experience in translating business requirements into technical requirements.

I am always keen to learn new things and improve my skills, I’ll spend a fair amount of my free time doing online training or reading up on technologies that I find interesting or think may help improve my workflow.
