I work with Wycliffe Bible Translators. I started computers while I was a teacher in Oregon in 1966. I moved to Brasilia Brazil to teach math and science at Escola Americana do Brasilia. After I was there two years I was asked to start the computer program at the school (1981). I choose Apple IIe computers. After teaching computers for 4 years I was asked to help bible translators with their work. I had the privilege of typesetting 3 New Testaments. Since returning to the States I have worked on converting Bibles, New Testaments, and commentaries to a format to put onto CD-ROMs. Currently, I am tasked with converting dictionaries created in Word and convert them into a form suitable for importing into a dictionary-aware program called FLEx. I am happily married and have two children. Our son works for Microsoft and our daughter is the children's minister at her church.
