I am using as server the latest VisualSVN, and its been updated from SVN 1.6 to SVN 1.7. also i have updated the TortoiseSVN to 1.7.1. when i try to commit to the repository, its runs all the add command and then hang on "Sending Content" on random file. after some time its write:

Error: Commit failed (details follow): Error: Server sent unexpected return value (500 Internal Server Error) in response to Error: PUT request for

i see all my old repositories and can update and so... but if i create new folder (and new repository for it), checkout it. when i commit the content its still hang on that message.

  • 500 error is a sign of problem on server-side. Read Apache log – Lazy Badger Oct 28 '11 at 22:50
  • BTW - "Apache Subversion 1.7.1 fixes some important issues related to the server side, so we recommend all VisualSVN Server 2.5 users to upgrade to the VisualSVN Server 2.5.1." says [VisualSVN Server 2.5.1 announce](http://www.visualsvn.com/company/news/#server_2_5_1) – Lazy Badger Oct 28 '11 at 23:03
  • i am using the 2.5.1 version. and still its not works for me... – CaTz Oct 29 '11 at 19:22
  • Are error exist with CLI-client? Are any "special" settings in VisualSVN Server conf? At least more details needed, if you don't want answer "It works for me without errors" (and yes, this pair /1.7.1+2.5.1 works for me over plain http/) – Lazy Badger Oct 30 '11 at 00:48
