Add time delay in transfer function scipy.signal.TransferFunction Python

This question has been asked for many years on this forum, but I hope there is some modern solution. I need to add a delay to the transfer function in the scipy.signal.TransferFunction module in order to further simulate the step response of the system.Or maybe there is an alternative to scipy's transfer functions that support delay. I know about the Padé approximant, but it doesn't work for me.
