The Arrhenius equation

The Arrhenius equation is _k_ = _Ae_ ^(- _Ea_ / _RT_ ), where _A_ is the frequency or pre-exponential factor and _e_ ^(- _Ea_ / _RT_ ) represents the fraction of collisions that have enough energy to overcome the activation barrier (i.e., have energy greater than or equal to the activation energy _Ea_ ) at temperature _T_.
