Questions tagged [transplanting]

For questions about moving plants between pots or beds.

Most plants can be readily moved from one location to another through the process of transplanting. The basic principle is to dig the plant up, and then re-locate it in a hole in the ground or a new pot. Care must be taken to minimize root damage, and usually to avoid branch .

Plants may be transplanted because you prefer the new location, an old is getting root bound, or to improve the soil quality.
