Maple is the common name for the genus Acer s (and ). They are members of the sub-family Hippocastanaceae.

The genus contains about 129 species. Most are native to Asia, although some are native to Europe, North Africa, and North America. Only Acer laurinum is native to the southern hemisphere.

Acer woods also tend to carry sound well, making it a popular choice in many musical instruments.

Maple tree disease with pics this time

These fluffy things are only visible in early morning.I got a good close up and notice tiny bugs in the webI can't seem to add 2 images so I will post another question with the tree image
