Macadamia nuts in Malaysian cooking
I've seen that macadamia nuts can be used as a substitute for candlenuts in Malaysian cooking. Is it a 1:1 substitution or do you need more macadamias. I'm not familiar with candlenuts, but pictures suggest they are larger than macadamias.

I have some old smoked nuts- can I make anything with them?
They were smoked so they are not rancid. They are just rather flat in flavor. Are there any options for use? They are smoked almonds and brazil nuts.

Dry roasting nuts and spices beforehand
